why are 08 ASE a dollar more over spot than 09's???

....at the shows 09's are in higher demand.

Scott answered that before.
They get current year eagles in sealed monster boxes, so essentially
"no-touch" turnaround sales.

Buy back rounds of previous years have to be inspected, inventoried etc
before they put them up for sale.. man hours=money.
Just passing his extra expenses on.

Why do people pay more for nikes, asics, or whatever's fashionable now? Because they can charge that much for it, and because people will pay more for it.
